Two of Britain’s finest tenor sax players, each with a long and distinguished career, join forces in what promises to be an exciting evening of driving and adventurous jazz.

Art Themen is a consummate performer, playing in large and small venues throughout the UK and worldwide, and is a regular star at many top jazz festivals.

He was involved in the early British blues movement and was a member of Michael Garrick and Graham Collier's bands in the 60s and 70s. He has toured all over the world with the legendary pianist Stan Tracey, and also played and toured with international musicians such as Nat Adderley and George Coleman.

Don Weller has been admired for decades as an unconventional, straight-ahead swinging jazz player as well as an arranger and composer of works that have been recorded by other artists. He too has a long association with Stan Tracey; he was a regular member of Rocket 88; and he also played with the Gil Evans Orchestra, standing in for Michael Brecker at the Bracknell Jazz Festival.

Tonight they are joined by a rhythm section of equal note, three superb musicians in constant demand to back the top British and US jazz stars.
